"We received a nice welcome at the reception desk and told we should be able to check in early so went to the bar and had a drink whilst we waited. The bar staff were quite chaotic and disorganized. When we entered our room it smelt very musty almost as though someone has been smoking in the room. We were impressed by the comfort of the room but it had no view. "Lovely hotel. I stay often for work. For some reason it wouldnt alloq me to book breakfast. I wasnt advised when i arrived if it was availbe or not. Two nights stay, Ivwas happy they have TNT in the down stairs bar. The tv wouldnt link to my phone or could i connect my firestick so one night i had to endure normal tv. Thats why 4 instead of 5 stars. Very clean and friendly staff as always."

"The hotel has rooms over three locations, all of which are in close proximity but not something we were aware of. That said, the standard was good, and the bar area / brasserie was clean, fresh, friendly and great views overlooking the river."

"The hairdryers are a struggle to use in the bedrooms as its on a curly which is very restrictive to use as a normal hairdryer and some plugs in your rooms are not near a mirror to dry your hair with. "

"Beautiful hotel with amazing grounds, huge room and lots of luxurious touches. The beds were comfortable and the big round bath was something else. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and professional. The only negatives were when the corporate side of things disturbed the other guests - the braying sales teams taking over the breakfast room with their luggage wasn't ideal, nor the loud wedding planning meeting while we were relaxing in the residents’ lounge. "Basic room, has what you need but nothing more and quite small. It's a budget hotel but ok and you get what you pay for, although I think the price is a little high, I have stayed in a lot of better value properties."

"I was only there for one night but had a fantastic dinner at Cedar and enjoyed the Churchill Bar. Would definitely come back for a longer stay."
